SA-MP a multiplayer modification for the PC version of Rockstar's GTA: San Andreas allowing users to play together over internet or LAN connections.
It differs from alternative multiplayer mods, such as MTA:SA, as it allows just about any type of gameplay, rather than a specific type (MTA:SA only supports racing).
It also uses a very flexible scripting language, Pawn, that uses a very similar syntax to C.
